19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a challenging year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - caused him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial trophy since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from March of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to question if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour title, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 initial break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
